It is because of this publication the Atnel Publishing house was established. It was released in early 2011 and immediately shows up to be very successful. It was and will be the first book on Polish market, which allows to learn in a very comprehensive way about C language for microcontrollers issues but also it takes a reader into world of programming. The strong point of the book are exercises/workshops in the second part of the book. In the first part a reader will get familiar with basics of C language, its elements and possibilities so then he will be able to write his first, simple programs by himself.
The thing that clearly distinguishes our publishing house’s books from other books in this subject area, is the fact that another important element of the whole teaching message is a DVD with a large amount of source codes. These are not just dry, short, not saying anything examples without any comments as it sometimes happens in books from other publishers. Here we have in common with carefully considered teaching material. The source codes are very clearly numbered and described. There are also many comments on it and the comments are not about the text from the book. It is noteworthy that these are not quickly and sloppily written codes what is probably a standard for other publications. A result of this (we know it from e-mails we get) is often skipping the DVD included. Some readers even for a half year do not check the DVD assuming that there are only advertisings and not important information. Hence the disappointment and regret that they did not look at the DVD earlier when someone mention about its content e.g. on a forum that it is worth to look at it.
VIDEO LESSONS – it is a huge teaching aid, that was placed on the DVD with the first book. Thanks to the lessons and thanks to pre-installed versions of professional programming environment - ECLIPSE, the reader gets the opportunity to start working almost immediately with all the material from the book. There are no more problems with the environment searching, with its installation, and everything that is connected with wading through the basic issues only to launch our own first program on the microcontroller.
It turns out that with our book it becomes possible for EVERYONE, even completely beginner in this topic. The title of our book is not a marketing plan as it happens in case of some other publications on a publishing market. Our primary goal is just to help the beginners, but also advanced customer can find here interesting information. What’s important and what also our customers confirm in their e-mails. Our book is not about the AVR microcontrollers. The book is about learning the programming C language. However, the knowledge gained during reading the book and doing practical exercises, the readers successfully use when they are programming using other families of microcontrollers and not only 8-bit. Among the e-mails we get we see such families as the PIC, 8051, ARM / STM and others. It just shows the strength and quality of communication our book has.
